Shadow Mode
Running a new policy against live or replayed traffic without enforcing it, so you can measure its impact before it can block anything.
Shadow mode evaluates a candidate policy on real requests and reports what it would have done - allow, block, or redact - without changing the response that is actually returned.
It lets teams catch false positives that would break a workflow before the policy goes live, the same way feature flags and canary releases de-risk a software rollout.
