AI Policy (Policy-as-Code)

A machine-readable rule that defines what an AI system may or may not do, expressed as code so it can be versioned, tested, and enforced automatically.

An AI policy declares the allowed and forbidden behaviors for a model or agent: which data classes can leave the perimeter, which tools an agent may call, what must be redacted, and when a human must review.

Written as code (policy-as-code), a policy can be version-controlled, reviewed in a pull request, simulated against traffic, and enforced deterministically - rather than interpreted by hand each time.
